About us

De Kei is a school for special primary education and is accessible to all students with an admissibility statement. The school is located at Kamp 39-05 in the Boswijk in Lelystad. The school has a beautiful playground and there is a lot of greenery around the school, which is a great place to play and learn, not only during the break, but often also during the lessons.

The school has about 80 students who are divided into 6 groups.

Our school in highlights

- Outdoor education: De Kei has a very beautiful schoolyard, if not the most beautiful schoolyard in Lelystad. We also like to use this during our lessons.
- Pedagogical tact: Coaches have been trained at our school who, according to the vision of Pedagogical tact, provide a safe climate where bullying does not stand a chance.
- Vegetable garden and kitchen: In our vegetable garden, children learn a lot about nature and where our food comes from. We process our garden produce in the kitchen into something tasty and healthy.
- Physical education: twice a week, all students receive physical education from a professional subject teacher.
